The finals of the Swiss Olympiad in Informatics took place on the 8th and 9th of March.

25 participants from Switzerland and one participant from Liechtenstein qualified for the final round of SOI 2025. The two five hour contests took place on the 8th and 9th of March at EPFL.

Jovian gets the SOI trophy

The winner of SOI 2025 is Jovian Soejono, who scored a total of 901 out of 1000 possible points. He recieved the SOI trophy from Yaël Arn, who won SOI 2024 and was leading the problem selection and preparation this year.

Finals25 contest

During the contest the participants had to help Mouse Stofl rob as many houses as possible or deal with lost suitcases. Some problems were easier than others. Out of the 10 problems, 2 problems where not solved for 100 points during the contest. Of course, there where plenty of subtasks to reward intermediate progress on the problems.

EGOI Delegation

The delegation for the EGOI (European Girls’ Olympiad in Informatics), taking place from 14th – 20th of July 2025 in Germany, consists of Myriam Faltin, Hongjia Meng, Seraina Maag, and Laetitia Fondaumiere.

Team Selection

The 12 medalists will continue to the selection process for the international olympiads. During two weekends in May the participants will come together and compete for the four spots for the International Olympiad in Informatics, taking place in Bolivia this year.

Additionally, Leonhard Hasler from Liechtenstein will join the team selection.

As a preparation for the team selection, Switzerland has been invited to several international camps. This is a great opportunity for our participants to get international experience and meet new people.
