The first ever multiple-choice first round of the Swiss Olympiad in Informatics is over. All participants can view their scores and the solutions on the Olympiad Portal. In addition all participants should have received an email with instructions on how to proceed. In case you did not receive an email with your results, feel free to reach out to us.

12891289 participants participated in the 4040 minute multiple choice test, from which 437437 were able to achieve at least 88 out of 1616 points to qualify for the second round. We thank everyone for their participation and all the teachers who organized the first round in their class and hope you all enjoyed the exam.

As this is the first year that we have such a first round with a completely new format, we understand that some people were not prepared for it. Therefore there is still a chance for everyone to participate in this year’s SOI contest. By solving 55 problems and getting 500500 points on the Pre-Round, you will be eligible to participate in the second round and qualify for future events this year.

Everyone who qualified via the first round will be able to get points on the second round if they link the email they used for the first round to their SOI account. Stay tuned for the second round which will be starting very shortly on October 1st.
