Qualification Round 2024/2025 is over

Success! The qualification round has ended. Congratulations to everyone for helping Stofl and Binna escape a tomb, refine Bolivias landscape and ice cakes. We hope you had lots of fun (and maybe learned something) while solving the tasks and are thrilled to see you at the camp or next year!

What are the next steps?

1. From December 1st until the end of the finals, we have our Finals Homework (Grader). You can get 200 from a total of 1000 points of the finals by solving the FH tasks at home.
2. We will finalize the ranking and invite 24 participants into our SOI camp in Sarnen. You can expect a mail around December 20th that contains your results and whether you’ve been selected.
3. The finals will consist of two practical exams. More information and the exact dates will come in the qualification email.

4. If you’re afraid you will run out of tasks now, fear not:

   • To enjoy the advent with relaxing tasks, you can solve daily problems at the Advent of Code. The tasks are slightly easier than those at SOI. If you want, you can join our private leaderboard under the code 2403511-7728a326.
   • The new USACO season offers another round of high-quality contests in a similar format to the finals for every level. The first contest will take place between the 13th and 16th of December online on usaco.org. A great guide to the relevant topics (also for SOI!) can be found on the USACO Guide.
